Clean Tech Youth Programme

DEWA’s Sustainability & Innovation Centre is pleased to announce the launch of its second CleanTech Hackathon initiative from 19-21 February, as a part of UAE Innovates 2024. Bringing together innovators from different sustainable fields to compete to build a sustainable future, the Hackathon stands as a testament to the UAE's commitment to fostering innovative solutions in clean and renewable energy.

The CleanTech Hackathon, integral to combating climate change and promoting environmental sustainability, invites participants to explore and innovate in the renewable energy sector. Structured around three main tracks, the event focuses on optimising the efficiency and cost-effectiveness of clean energy sources, ensuring the reliability and stability of renewable energy, and integrating renewable energy seamlessly into existing systems. These tracks emphasise maximising efficiency, overcoming intermittency challenges, and innovatively addressing energy storage, distribution, and smart grid technologies.

This Hackathon aims to empower innovators, fostering impact-driven projects that push the boundaries of clean energy and set new standards for a sustainable future, thereby significantly contributing to the advancement of cleantech innovation and sustainability.

By participating in this Hackathon, innovators are not only competing for recognition but are also contributing to a global movement towards a more sustainable and energy-efficient world. We invite thinkers, creators, and visionaries to join us in this exciting journey towards a cleaner, greener future.

The main tracks for the Hackathon are:
